FK Cēsis announced that English national player Ben Tilney had joined the club’s leadership group, Baltic Football News reported on 20 September 2025.
Tilney, an English national player, made 133 appearances in the Northern Irish top tier. Alongside his playing career he founded and coached Carrick Rangers Falcons Women’s Football Club, which has been promoted every year since it began and is affiliated with Carrick Rangers in the NIFL Premiership.
He now sits as co-owner of Four Castles Global, the majority owner of FK Cēsis.
The leadership team at FK Cēsis has created a strong foundation for growth not just for the region but for all of Latvia and the Baltics. Team leaders and fellow board members Kevin Doyle, Roberts Cipe and Chris Wilkinson have demonstrated so much passion for what they see in the future for FK Cēsis, so for me it was an easy decision to join them.
We are thrilled to have Ben join us on our journey in Latvia. His football experience and what he brings to the table will help further launch what we have built.
