Wellington Recreation Football Club in Larne, Northern Ireland, hosted Victoria Murasko, media director of FK Cēsis, as the two clubs prepare for the first Four Castles International Invitational.
During the visit Murasko met Abby Taylor, captain of the Wellington Rec women’s team and media director for WRFC. The meeting covered match-day media, how the story of the partnership will be told in both countries, and the working relationship between the clubs.
The invitational will be played in Cēsis on 10 October 2026. FK Cēsis – Jules Verne Women will host Wellington Recreation Women. The competition is built for international matches, player development and cultural exchange, and is scheduled to rotate to Larne in 2027.
Four Castles Global is title sponsor. Further details on the October schedule, ticketing and supporting events in Cēsis will be released in the coming weeks.
Meeting Abby and the Wellington Rec team in person has been invaluable. This visit strengthens the foundation for the Four Castles International Invitational.
The opportunity to compete internationally, experience a new football culture, and host a return leg in Northern Ireland next year is something our players and supporters are incredibly excited about.
