FK Cēsis have appointed Chris Wilkinson as head of recruitment. He will oversee player identification, scouting and recruitment for the men’s and women’s first teams.

Wilkinson has worked in football scouting and recruitment since 2016, including spells with Institute FC in Northern Ireland and Portuguese club GDSC Alvarenga. A Coventry University Sport Management graduate, he first joined FK Cēsis as sporting director in 2024 and has since helped shape the club’s recruitment strategy, international scouting network, and the men’s promotion to the 2. līga.

The appointment was reported by Baltic Football News on 22 July 2026, alongside the signing of Latvian striker Ēriks Punculs.

From the moment I began speaking with the leadership at FK Cēsis, it was clear this is a club with genuine ambition and a long-term vision. The commitment to developing players, creating international opportunities and establishing a sustainable football model made this an opportunity I simply couldn’t pass up.
